1. Who we are and accepting these terms
PawMe is operated by Pato Gómez, an individual developer based in Mexico (“PawMe”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using PawMe, you agree to these terms and confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy and Health Data Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use PawMe.
2. What PawMe is, and is not
PawMe helps you organize your dog’s daily care, health records, walks and memories. It is not a veterinarian, a diagnostic tool or a substitute for professional advice. Reminders and summaries are based on what you log, enrichment suggestions on your quiz answers, and the Guide is general information. You know your dog best. Always check with a qualified vet before making decisions about your dog’s health, diet, medication or exercise.
3. Who can use PawMe
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. PawMe is for your personal, non-commercial use in caring for your own dogs.
4. Your account
- You sign in with Apple or Google. Each is a separate PawMe account with its own data, so keep using the same one.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your device and your Apple or Google account secure, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it.
- Because there is no PawMe password, we may not be able to restore access if you lose your Apple or Google account. The optional recovery email in Settings is stored but is not yet verified and does not currently provide an account-recovery method.
5. Price
PawMe is currently free and has no in-app purchases. If we ever introduce paid features, we will explain the price and terms clearly beforehand, and you will never be charged without agreeing first.
6. Your content
You keep your rights in the records, photos, walks and memories you contribute. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, copy, process and display them to you and the authorized members of the family you share, and to review reported content for safety. We use this permission only to run PawMe. Removing your access or deleting your account does not erase a surviving shared family: its content and this limited permission continue while that family retains the content, with your author identity anonymized after account deletion. The permission ends when the content or its last-manager family is deleted, apart from short-term backup copies until they expire. We do not claim ownership or use your content for advertising.
When you export a records PDF, you choose which walk events and their saved photos to include and whom to share the file with. The file can be read outside PawMe without a session or connection. Family access controls apply while preparing it; PawMe cannot revoke copies already shared outside the app.
Only upload content you have the right to use. If you add information about other people, such as a contact’s details (for example your vet or clinic) or a dog walker’s name, make sure they would reasonably expect you to keep it.
7. Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- try to access other people’s accounts or data, or get around PawMe’s security or limits;
- probe, scan, overload, disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, except where the law allows it;
- use bots or automated tools to access PawMe, or try to create or farm Treats;
- upload anything unlawful, harmful, infringing, or that you don’t have the right to share;
- use PawMe to harm animals or people, or for anything illegal.
Safety, reports and blocking
Do not share pornography, sexual exploitation, threats, harassment, hateful content, graphic violence, animal abuse, unlawful material or another person’s private information without permission. Accept these terms before creating or uploading content.
- Reports. You can privately report shared content, a family member or a whole family from the app. PawMe support reviews reports within 48 hours. A report alone does not restrict anyone. There is no automated photo or text filtering: families are private and joined only by invitation, and objectionable content is handled by people reviewing reports.
- Blocking. Blocking someone ends sharing with them in every family you share and stops either of you from joining the other’s families through any invitation. In each shared family, either their access is removed or you leave, and the app shows which before you confirm. A block cannot remove a family’s original creator: in that family, you leave instead. Shared history stays with the remaining members.
- Restrictions. After a review, support may restrict a whole family, or one person’s access to the families they share with other people. While a family is restricted, its dogs and records are hidden in the app and nobody can invite or remove other members, but anyone can leave. A person’s restriction stays on every family they shared when it began, even if the others leave later. A restricted person keeps using any family where they are the only member, but cannot invite anyone or join another family. Under any restriction you can still export your own data and delete your account. A restriction lasts until support lifts it; email hello@pawme.io to ask for a review.
Previously downloaded copies or already-issued file links cannot be recalled immediately.
8. The Treat Jar
Treats celebrate logged care. They are not money or property, cannot be bought, sold, redeemed or exchanged, and have no value outside PawMe. We may change how they work. They belong to the dog’s family history: deleting your account preserves shared Treats when another owner or co-owner remains, and removes them when the last-manager family is deleted.
9. Walks and outdoor safety
You are responsible for your dog’s safety and for following local laws on leashes, waste, restricted areas and wildlife. Suggestions such as a decompression walk are general ideas. Let your dog off-leash only where it is legal, safe and allowed, and otherwise use a leash or a long line on a harness. Stay aware of your surroundings. Don’t use your phone in a way that puts you or your dog at risk, especially near traffic. Distance, route and step figures are estimates from your phone’s sensors and may be inaccurate.
Optional street maps
Your walks can be displayed on Apple Maps on iOS or Google Maps on Android if you enable street maps, during a walk you record or after it. The map is context for your recorded route, not navigation or a guarantee of GPS accuracy, road access or safety. During a walk, keep your attention on your surroundings rather than the map. Map availability depends on the provider, your device and your connection. The local outline and metrics remain available when maps are off.

10. Reminders and notifications
Reminders depend on your phone, its settings, your connection and services run by others (such as Apple and Google). They can be late or not arrive. Don’t rely on PawMe alone for anything time-critical, like a medication your dog must not miss.
11. The app stores
If you downloaded PawMe from Apple’s App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. We, not Apple or Google, are responsible for PawMe and its content, maintenance, support, and for handling any claims about it, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and intellectual property claims. Your use must also follow the store’s own terms. For an iOS download, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. If PawMe fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation for PawMe.
12. Our app and brand
PawMe’s software, design, text, illustrations and brand belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use PawMe on devices you own or control under these terms. Please don’t copy, resell or build on PawMe or its brand without our permission. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without obligation to you.
13. Changes to PawMe and to these terms
PawMe is a young product and will change. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something important or shut down PawMe, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data where we can.
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. For a material change, we will tell you in the app and ask you to accept the new terms before you continue. If you don’t accept, you can stop using PawMe and delete your account.
14. Ending your use
You can stop using PawMe at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. Unless there is a legal or safety reason not to, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data first. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 8, 15, 16 and 18) keep applying after your account ends.
15. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep PawMe reliable and your data safe, but PawMe is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Nor do we guarantee that the information in it, including calculations, reminders and suggestions, is complete or accurate. Keep your own copies of important records, such as your vet’s vaccination certificates.
16. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of PawMe. Our total liability for any claim about PawMe is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for PawMe in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for our willful misconduct or gross negligence, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.
17. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law of the country where you live. This includes rights under Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Law and the consumer laws of the EU and UK. If a mandatory local law gives you more protection, it applies.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the federal laws of Mexico. If you have a problem, please email us first. Most issues can be solved quickly that way. If we can’t resolve it, disputes will go to the competent courts of Mexico, unless the law of your country lets you bring the claim in your local courts, or you are entitled to go to a consumer authority such as PROFECO.
19. No offer of securities
Our website may mention a community funding round. Nothing in these terms, the app or the website is an offer to sell, or a request to buy, any security. Any investment would be made only through official offering materials on the relevant regulated platform, and involves risk, including the possible loss of your entire investment.
20. General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Health Data Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about PawMe. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we have not waived it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to someone who takes over PawMe, provided your rights are not reduced.

When you join a family, owners and co-owners have equal control of all shared dogs, records, files and membership, subject to the safety rules above. Share invitation codes only with adults you trust. Removing access preserves shared history; deleting your account preserves shared data when another owner or co-owner remains. Your other families and personal account settings remain separate.
